Here’s an unconventional insomnia aid – Orgonite. Okay, orgonite is something I have been using, in trying to improve my sleep quality for some time now. I think it might be helpful to some people who have tried out a lot of things for their sleep without much success, so today I am going to share a little on my experience with using orgonite for sleep.
When you hear the term, what goes in your mind? Does orgonite sound like some wacky New Age thingy? You don’t have to read on if you are going to dismiss it, but orgonite is gaining a reputation as a fairly effective (if not pretty unorthodox) sleep aid. If you’re open to trying out unconventional stuff, then read on. Read the rest of this entry »

What is narcolepsy?
Narcolepsy is an annoying sleep syndrome that can be serious, yet it is often mistaken for laziness. Constantly feeling tired all day and falling asleep in the middle of doing something are the chief symptoms which may indicate narcolepsy. Unlike normal tiredness which can be controlled, narcolepsy makes a person fall asleep without their having any control over it. Narcolepsy comes from the French word narcolepsie, a combination of the Greek words narke (stupor) and lepsis (seizure).

On Yahoo News today it is reported that severe sleep apnea raises the risk of early death by as much as 46 percent. I think that is quite astounding (and shocking) if true, when you consider that the true number of sleep apnea sufferers numbers in the millions, including almost 18 million Americans. Also, compare that to the risk of early death faced by smokers and it is almost similar (smokers death risk seems to be around 50%).
Is sleep apnea really that bad? Read the rest of this entry »

How many of you pop vitamins daily, or at least believe that nutrients play an important part in sleep and general health? I for one, take supplemental vitamins often because I believe the foods we eat every day are just too deficient and inadequate to be regarded as “sufficient” in fulfilling all our nutritional needs. Getting the right nutrients for sleep (and enough of it daily) is essential, whether we like it or not.
While perhaps not miracle workers, I fully believe supplemental vitamins are helpful in improving a lot of health conditions, and that includes sleep disorders. Theoretically, it is possible to obtain enough nutrients from foods, but unfortunately, this world is far from ideal. Read the rest of this entry »
